FESTIVAL MUSICIANS 2025
HBHBAS will feature a variety of blues, funk, soul, jazz,
and reggae Canadian-based musicians at the 2025 Halton Emancipation Celebration Festival.

Luckystickz will emcee the Festival. Dejehan Hamilton, professionally known as Luckystickz, is a dynamic, award-winning international inspirational speaker and the visionary founder of The Tune In Foundation.

Jazz pianist Eddie Bullen joins his sons Quincy Bullen and Tré-michael Bullen. Two generations are represented in a very fine narrative powerfully presented with two voices, speaking to the timeline of sacrifice to triumph, of one generation passing its best on to the next.

Crack Of Dawn music although predominantly categorized in the gunk, soul & R&B genres has deep roots in reggae, rock, and other genres of contemporary music, including smooth jazz.
Our writing style is as varied as our members, hailing from many Caribbean Islands, Canada and Europe.

Garnetta Cromwell & DaGroovmasters
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Garnetta Cromwell & DaGroovmasters is a soulful, funky, fusion blues band that delivers high-energy shows at festivals, awards shows, and more. It features Garnetta Cromwell on lead vocals, saxophonist Juan Arce, lead guitarist Toshihiro “T-Bird” Otani, drummer Robin Houston, bassist Mark Howe, and trombonist Aiden Keir.

Oakland Stroke faithfully recreates the music of fabled Bay area soul band Tower of Power.
The funk, the excitement and the soul. Based in Toronto, Canada, the band is led by Lou Pomanti.

3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Errol (Skipah) Blackwood was born in the Accompong (Maroon) Hills of Jamaica. He moved to Toronto, Canada at an early age where he learned to play the bass guitar.
He played with several bands in Ontario doing a mixture of R&B, rock and funk. His love for music comes from a variety of sources of inspiration.
